For the past few months, residents of the town of Stourbridge, West Midlands in the United Kingdom, have been waking up to a pleasant surprise. Empty milk bottles with beautiful farm animals etched into the glass. However, just like Santa, nobody had seen or knew who this kind samaritan and amazing artist was......until now.

Charlotte Hughes-Martin, a 30-year old artist, finally confessed to being the secret 'Santa'.

Charlotte, who carves her creations in a studio at a former glass factory, said she was motivated by the desire to show people how even ordinary everyday items can be turned into beautiful pieces of art.

Instead of handing them out, she decided to leave them randomly outside different homes each morning. Charlotte said she loved the idea of surprising people and bringing a smile to their faces first thing in the morning, as they picked up their unexpected gift.

And surprise she did - since last spring delighted homeowners have been wondering who the person was. Most of the people have kept the bottles as souvenirs or artwork. Some have even sold them over the Internet.

Now that the mystery has been solved, homeowners will have the chance to thank Charlotte themselves and maybe even ask her for a few more of her amazing bottles of art.
