Santa came early for a trash collector in England this year - about six months early to be exact. Graham Hill was going about his business of emptying out garbage cans in Lincoln, Central England when he came across a plastic bag.

Curious, he looked inside and to his great surprise found lots and lots of cut-up pieces of 10 and 20 Pound Sterling bills (British money). He immediately turned it in to the local police station and continued his normal life.

Last week, he received a call from the police, letting him know that since nobody had claimed the money, and it was not tied to any criminal activity, he was now the rightful owner of the cut-up cash.

All Hill has to do now is to try find the right pieces, which includes finding two matching serial numbers for each bill, and reconstruct them. This is going to be challenging, since none of the serial numbers are intact - However, if he does do it, the Bank of England has agreed to substitute each one of his torn bills with a new one.

While Hill certainly has his work cut out for him, with about 10,000 Pounds worth of bills estimated to be in the bag, it will definitely be worth the effort.
