Yves Rossy also known as "Fusion Man", always dreamed of soaring in the skies like a bird. On Wednesday, he fulfilled his dream by becoming the first person ever to fly at a speed of over 180 miles per hour, with nothing but a wing and four jet engines strapped to his back.

Rossy, a former military pilot, was dropped from the plane at an altitude of 7,500 ft, with his rigid 8ft wings strapped to his back. As he started to gently glide, he fired up his four jet engines and using only his body for steering soared across the Alps to the delight of onlookers. He also managed to do many acrobatic stunts, including a 360-degree flip! The five-minute flight ended with a graceful landing on an airfield near the eastern shores of Lake Geneva in Switzerland. It took Rossy five years and many failed attempts to get this far. But buoyed by the amazing success of his debut flight, Rossi now plans to fly cross the English Channel later this year. After that, he wants to attempt flying across the Grand Canyon in Arizona, U.S.A, and maybe someday the world?
