What do you get when you cross a scooter, unicycle and skateboard - A Magic Wheel of course. The new gizmo is described as a new kind of foot scooter and consists of one big wheel and one small wheel with a platform on one side.

The rider places the wheel between his/her legs, one foot goes on the platform, while the other helps push off. The navigation from there on is quite similar to a skateboard, with minor turns taken by adjusting the weight of the rider to weave in and out. To change directions, the rider places one foot on the ground and then spins around completely.

The Magic Wheel has no brakes and the manufactures recommend to jump off the wheel incase of a real emergency. Because the wheel is made from reinforced plastic, it will not break.

According to the manufacturer's website, the wheel can be mastered in about two hours. However, as you will notice in the first video, this time does not apply to people who have never mastered the basics of balancing on a skateboard. The second video is more demonstrative of how the wheel should work

Recommended for kids over 12 years of age, this $179 U.S. Dollars contraption is available on the Internet through Amazon.com and other internet retailors. To check out more details go their website: http://www.magicwheel.co.uk/
