A few months ago we told you about 'Dine In the Sky'. We now bring you yet another unique dining experience, 17ft under the Indian Ocean, off the coast of the Maldive Islands.

Ithaa, the world's first and only restaurant situated under the ocean, allows diners an unobstructed 270 degree view of beautiful coral and marine life, thanks to its acrylic see-through walls. The exclusive restaurant, which opened in 2005, features local maldavian cuisine and seats only fourteen people.

The restaurant was designed by a New Zealand based company and first constructed on land in Singapore . Once completed, the dome-shaped structure was shipped to the islands, where it took 15 divers over 13 hours to install.

Guests who wish to dine here are first guided through a wooden walkway to a deck above the restaurant. After some pre-dinner drinks, they walk down a spiral staircase to experience not only an amazing view, but also an award-winning four-course menu, that features 23 dishes!

As would be expected, a meal at Ithaa, does not come cheap, costing between $180USD - $200 USD per person, but given the amazing experience, we think it is definitely worth it - don't you?
