'Sorry Folks, the dog ate it all' - While that excuse would be tough to pull off with a straight face, when it comes from a Prime Minister, the guests have no choice but to grin and bear it!

Apparently, that's what happened earlier this week in Russia. While Prime Minister Vladimir Putin was in a meeting with key advisors, strategizing on how to assist the local food industry, Koni, his beloved Labrador, decided to help the food industry out the only way he knew - by eating his way through most of the pastries, biscuits and jellied desserts that had been prepared for the group to devour after the meeting. Needless to say, the high-powered officials had to trek home a little hungry!

Ironically, Koni made news last year, as the first dog in the world to be fitted with a GLONASS (Russian global positioning system). So either he was very still, for the GPS battery switches off when he is not moving, or someone isn't doing a good job of tracking the naughty Labrador.

Either way, at the end of it all, the dog looked mighty pleased with herself, while the rest of the group had to go look for some grub, which we are sure will go a longer way in helping out the local food industry, than simply conversing about it!
