Cooking With Miranda - Crispy Kisses

By Meera Dolasia on February 8, 2010

Happy Valentines Week to all of you. Right about now, you are probably fretting about how to show your love and appreciation to your family, teachers and friends on this special day.

My Crispy Kisses are guaranteed to solve all your problems. Not only are they easy to make, but are also delicious, healthy (they have rice!) and impressive.

Crispy Kisses

Ingredients

3 tbsp Butter

I 10oz package regular marshmallows (about 40)

OR

4 cups miniature marshmallows

6 cups Rice Krispies Cereal

One 4oz funnel

5 square sheets of aluminum foil

5 personalized Valentines Messages (Happy Valentines Day, Mrs. O'Connor)

Putting It All Together

Put the butter and marshmallows in a large microwave-safe bowl and microwave for 2 minutes.

Remove and stir with a greased spatula until the ingredients are completely melted.

Stir in the cereal and mix until well-coated. Grease the funnel (use a smaller one if you want to make smaller treats) and fill it up with the Rice Krispy mixture. Turn it upside down and pop the treat out onto a cooling tray or wax paper.

Let cool for about 5-6 minutes and then transfer the Crispy Kiss onto the prepared sheet of aluminum foil. Bring the four corners of the foil to the top, to wrap your 'Kiss'. Insert your message just before you close the corners.

Optional - For a more colorful Crispy Kiss, roll your creations in a bowl of mini M&M's or chocolate chips, before sealing them in the sheet of aluminum.

Lastly, be sure to lick the bowl when you are done - After all the hard work, you deserve a little treat for yourself too! And please let me know if you make them - I love reading your comments!
