School celebrates Earth Week by releasing ladybugs
While Earth Day was April 22nd, the celebrations extended for the entire week. One Northern California Elementary School celebrated the event by releasing 100,000 ladybugs into the school's organic garden.

The fact that 19-year old Alia Sabur became the youngest University professor ever and broke a 300-year old record, probably came as no surprise to anyone who knows her! This amazing young woman has been setting records since she was an infant.
How Pierre the penguin got his groove - er feathers back!
Pierre, a 25-year-old penguin that resides at the California Academy of Sciences in California, had a big problem. In late 2006, he started to lose his waterproof feathers, especially around his head and tail.
Buddy -The most beautiful Bulldog!
They came dressed as princes and princesses, rockstars and cheerleaders. Some even painted their paw nails and wore bikini tops and grass skirts! However, in the end it all came down to plain old good looks. Buddy, a three-year old bulldog who came completetly unadorned, stole the show and was crowned "Most Beautiful Bulldog".
Miley Cyrus to write her memoirs
Miley Cyrus a.k.a Hannah Montana is too young to drive or vote. She is however, not too young to write a book. Yesterday morning the 15-year old announced that she had signed a deal with the Disney Book Group to write her "memoirs".
The World's worst professional tennis player
While the best athletes always make newspaper headlines, we rarely hear about the worst. Robert Dee of Britain falls in the latter category. He was recently dubbed - "The worst-ever professional tennis player in the World" - a title bestowed on him after he won his first match.
Where are all the birds?
Every autumn, billions of small birds make their way from the continent of Europe all the way to Africa. As soon as spring arrives these birds re-trace their epic journey back to Europe to breed. The journey which involves crossing the Sahara Desert, the Mediterranean and even the English Channel is amazing given how small some of these birds are and considered one of nature's miracles.
Bionic eye becomes a reality
What was once science fiction, is now becoming a reality! Two blind patients were implanted with bionic eyes at Moorfields Hospital in London last week. They are among the 15 people worldwide who are part of a trial to test out the technique. If successful, the procedure will be available to other blind people.
