All across America, fans always dispay team pride by wearing team colors, displaying the team's mascot and making up their own cheers. From high school football games to the Super Bowl, fans are usually really creative in showing their team spirit.

However, we are pretty sure that even the most ardent fan hasn't done what the Mayor of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania tried to do this Wednesday.

Luke Ravenstahl tried to legally change his name to Luke Steelerstahl in honor of the Pittsburgh Steelers. Though the change was supposed to be only temporary, Mr. Mayor was quite serious and even changed his nameplate on the door of his office.

The reason for the change - The Pittsburgh Steelers are playing against the Baltimore Ravens this Sunday for the AFC championships and he wanted to eliminate Raven from his name just as Steelers will eliminate the team at the game!.

But it seems Mr. Mayor had a slight snafu - he forgot to include the $108 USD fee with his paperwork, so his name change really didn't go through.

However, we have to laud him for trying, especially given the fact that Stahl in German means steel - so his new name if translated in English, would have been SteelerSteel!
