Liam Hoekstra's parents realized their son was special, when at the age of five months he could lift his entire body up, whilst his mum held him by the hands. By eight months he was doing pull-ups and by nineteen months, inverted sit-ups.

Added to that was the fact that though Liam consumed six full meals a day, he never put on any weight. Intrigued and a little awed by his superhuman strength and appetite, his parents took him to see some specialists, to ensure all was well.

That's when they realized that Liam is blessed with a rare genetic condition that converts everything he eats into muscle. That's because his body produces very little Myostatin, an enzyme that inhibits muscle growth in human bodies. As a result, he can digest food really fast, which is why he needs to eat so frequently - but the best part is, it all converts to muscle.

Now at the age of three, this wunderkind, who lives in Roosevelt Park, Michigan and weighs a mere 30lbs, can move furniture around, lift 5lb weights in each hand, and perform gymnastic moves that would rival any gymnast.

Liam's condition is so rare that he has become the subject of many documentaries all over the world, not to mention the envy of body builders! However, this three-year old is blissfully unaware of all his fame. He just spends his days eating and trying to figure out what he will lift next!
