Are you an aspiring artist? If so, this is a perfect contest for you and a great way to earn some moolah for yourself and your school.

Open to kids aged 4 -18, the contest is a joint effort between the Saatchi Art Gallery and The Telegraph Company, to showcase the work of best young artists from all over the world.

The competition, which started in May and goes on until the end of August, has already received some incredible artwork from 1,700 schools from all over the world. Since the competition allows complete artistic creativity, the submissions range from self-portraits to abstracts and landscapes and even beautiful collages.

The school with the winning entry will receive a grand prize of 10,000 pounds ($17,000 USD) to be used toward its art department. The winning student will receive a separate prize of 2,000 pounds ($3,500 USD). Two runner-up prizes of 5,000 pounds ($7,000USD) will also be awarded to the second and third prizewinners, with the individual artists each receiving 1,000 pounds (1,600 USD).
