This book is about a little boy named Andrew and his dad who have to live at the airport because they are homeless. They try not to get caught, so they move around every day and try to fit in with other people. They do their laundry in the sink. Andrew’s dad works as a custodian. They discover more homeless people and families in the airport, and a bird that keeps trying to leave. This book describes a lot about what homeless people have to go through. This is a really good book with great life lessons, like being thankful for what you have. People who have been homeless or know people who are might be very affected by this book.

This book leaves you wondering about something. It ends with a bird flying away and the little boy on the cover says that it is going home. I guess that's where the book got the cover from. Eve Bunting leaves people wondering what will happen next in the book each time.
