I absolutely love fantasy novels, and I've been looking for an exciting new series to get into. I've heard really good things about this series and would be ecstatic for a chance to read all of them.Over 5 years agoocelot added a new comment in
I've heard of two of the books in the series; I've read the first one. It was probably the best book within the fantasy/mystery genre that I've ever read. I'm excited to read the other ones in the series. I would also like to share them with a friend who really likes these kinds of books.Almost 6 years agowinterqrow added a book review.
This is one of my favorite series of all time, and the first book just sets it up so well. I love looking back on this book, when Percy was only 12, and all of our favorite characters were young and inexperienced. I definitely recommend this book for all people, young and old alike.Almost 6 years agowinterqrow added a book review.
I really enjoyed this book, because one of the main, if not the main, themes was the idea that appearances are not always telling of whats on the inside. Agatha was dirty, and lonely, and pretty much emo, but she had a pure heart. Sophie was beautiful and perfect seeming, but she was evil on the inside. It shows that people are not always what they seem.Almost 6 years agopeppershaker added a book review.
This is by far, my favorite Rick Riordan series. I love Magnus's character because he's very different from all of the other protagonists so far, but still has that same feeling. I love the different almost darker take on the Norse mythology, and the new set of very diverse characters. Not to spoil too much of the book, but one of my favorite parts of the book is that most of it is set after Magnus has died, giving the whole book a way different feel.Almost 6 years agopeppershaker added a book review.
Before I read this book, I saw the movie that came out recently. I loved the movie, and had heard from several people that this was a good book. I really enjoyed the book, and loved this pictures inside. They add such a creepy, but realistic feel to the story. I love the whole idea of peculiars, and that their powers are not like your standard superhero.Almost 6 years agopeppershaker added a book review.
The Dork Diaries are such an amazing series, and so real and relatable. Nikki is going through the ups and downs of middle school, dealing with crushes, and best friends, and enemies. Her writing style is so young an fresh, just like an actual 14 year old. I especially love Zoey's character, and her little quirks and such.Almost 6 years ago
