anagkan's book review was featured in The Blood Guard (The Blood Guard series).
In The Blood Guard, Evelyn (Ronan) Truelove finds out that his mother is part of an ancient order of knights bent on protecting the 36 pure. The 36 pure are the people who are the only people who stand between the world being as it is, and god destroying everything and building a new world again. These 36 special people do not know anything about what a pure is, or that they are a pure. But just as every book, there must evildoers. In this book, those people are the Bend Sinister. The sinister in the Bend Sinister is latin for the word left. The group is bent on murdering enough pure to start a new world. Every time a pure is killed, the world is cast into a dark age until the soul is reincarnated, that is the last safeguard. But now the Bend Sinister has a machine called The Eye of the Needle which can suck out a soul and trap it. This means that enough pure souls are trapped the Sinisters will succeed in destroying the current world and bringing a new one. Ronan Truelove who along the way meets Greta Sustermann who he knew from his old school and is also a pure. At the end, he finds out a sickening secret about his father. The first book of the series is amazing. I would reccomend it to anyone who loves fiction.

anagkan's book review was featured in The Boy Who Knew Everything.
In this book, Conrad Harrington ||| is a genius. He teams up with his other friends who also have other abilities such as telepathy and being able to control the weather. They start a team in which they do small things which turn into big deeds that help the world. Some of the deeds are things like saving whales. Conrad finds mysterious red rocks at every sight in which they fix a problem. Conrad also finds out that his father is being possessed. Piper (their girl who could fly) and Conrad come to a mysterious city named Xanthia. They find out that Conrad's grandfather (Max) lives here, and that he is a gobbler. Gobblers feed on other people's grief and suffering. In the end, Conrad defeats Max and his father is no longer possessed. I look forward to reading the prequel of this book, The Girl Who Could Fly.

During the course of this book, Vega Jane works at Stacks as a finisher, finishing objects. Her friend Quentin Herms runs away into the Quag, thick forest that surrounds Wormwood. The whole town is surprised by this. Quentin left Vega Jane a map of the Quag and a book about the Quag, if she too was going to run away. Vega then learns to fly and also gains a spear called the Elemental. In can destroy anything in its path. The Council finds out about the book and the map, and she is sent to Valhall, the jail. Her sentence was to win the Duelem, or she would have to stay in Valhall for life. She wins the Duelem. She then gains the money which she gives to her friend Delph, then one who was her best friend, who also trained her to fight in the duelem. Finally, Delph and Vega run away into the Quag, but only after they fight some council members. I can't wait to read The Keeper, the next book in the series.

In this book, Cam (Cameron) Boxer is a video-game player. His parents tell him that he need to get involved or he can't play video games. Cam and his friends make a club in school called the P.A.G, or The Positive Action Group in which they say they do things but the actually don't. This puts Cam's parents under the delusion that Cam is involved and is now a hero. The kids believe that no one will join and Cam can keep playing video-games until Daphne Leibowitz tries to join the club. Daphne gets the club some publicity. Then other students such as a football player who needs better grades, or a kid running for president join. The club then starts doing good deeds such as pulling weeds form senior citzens gardens and painting the YMCA. But then, the P.A.G. of the highschool (Friends of Fuzzy) starts demolishing the P.A.G. reputation. Eventually, the Positive Action Group is shot down, but they still stop a constrcution crew from tearing down the freeway which helps the parents pf the town. Finally, Cam Boxer's life was still almost filled with video games and he made to competition level at his favorite game, Rule The World. He also finds out that his video-game arch enemy is actually his sister. As you can see, Slacker is a great book just like all of Gordan Korman's books.
