Hatchet was an amazing and thrilling book in my opinion. This book had many suspense parts to it which made the book even better and was very detailed. Hatchet is about a gloomy boy who went through many harsh things in life and to top it off, a surprise hits him; this surprise would change his life forever. My favorite part of the book was when a brave and strong boy had realized something very important that he had managed to fulfill this realization which had changed his life and his stay. I genuinely recommend Hatchet to anyone.

This book has to be my second favorite book since first is holes and it is the best. I like the adventure and being stuck in the wilderness feel it gives you when reading it. At the end when he found the special package it saved his life and it would last him a while out there and one thing helped him escape the game he was playing. The book is kinda short and entertaining if you like stories of people being stranded in a forest then this is one book you'll enjoy. The bag had one ovios thing in it and that was air which helped him a lot. I is my favorite part of the book because it was one of the best endings to a book ive ever read and all in general, this book is one of the best ive ever read and am going to read it again.

In my opinion, I think Hatchet is very well written it has countless figurative language and describes each scene very well. I recommend this book to everyone ages 8+, this is because Hatchet is very exciting and while I was reading I was always waiting to read the next chapter. Perpich was one of Brian’s old English teachers, he was always encouraging him, and he was a large motivation to Brian. The whole book was well written, but my favorite part was when Brian is reborn including when he’s one with nature, and it is also my favorite because being reborn helped him in many different ways. In the end, this book was excellent I enjoyed reading it and suggest that you do too.

Hatchet is a great book. I think it was great because it has exciting parts, funny moments, and some sad stuff. It has many exciting parts, like when the main character, Brian, survives a plane crash. It’s just sad that he doesn’t know what to do when he crashes there. Then he makes a shelter from what he has around him. Later in the story, he makes some “friends”, which aren’t even human. He also makes some weapons, called a fish spear, and a bow and arrow. He fails with the bow and the fish spear. After some time, he sees his reflection and thinks it’s ugly. This has been a great book and I recommend reading it.
