As a massive fan of the books, it's hard for me to say but the movie was extremely disappointing to the max. Even though not many stuff were changed from the book, I still didn't like the way everything seemed portrayed. It wasn't faithful to the book in terms of aura, excitement, pandemonium, and depth. Everything was so vague and the non-book readers must have been so confused. I hated the way everything was directed and the screenplay was lazily written. It surprises me that Suzanne Collins (author of the novel) co-wrote it! It's hard to believe that this is a pretty long movie, because everything felt so rushed and each scene felt like it was a minute and a half. And the book isn't even that long! I think they lied about the run-time. Jennifer Lawrence (Katniss) is a great actress, not doubt about that but I didn't like Josh Hutcherson as Peeta. Mostly because I hated the way the character was written. In the book Peeta is charming, funny, and likable and in the movie he was so wimpy and such a.. loser. I don't think Hutcherson is that strong of an actor either. Personally I was more Team Gale in the film (in the book I like Peeta) even though he had 5 minutes or less of screentime. The director (Gary Ross) ruined some of my favorite parts such as the feast scene, the cave, and Katniss & Peeta's suicide attempt with the berries. The ending was just so rushed, just absolutely horrible, and no suspense or worry for the characters. Everything felt so shallow and hollow. When I first saw this movie, I was in denial that I didn't like it. I thought the more I saw it, the more it'd hit my approval of like. I saw the this movie 4 times, and each time I saw it I disliked it more. It took my a few months to admit to myself that this was a lackluster film. Even if you don't compare it to the book's amazingness, it's an average (or less) film. I have really low expectations for Catching Fire though, although I'm gonna see it anyway. They got a new director who seems cooler & they got screenwriters who have written great movies in the past! Catching Fire is my favorite of the 3 books, and I hope they don't screw it up almost as much as this one. PLEASE LIONSGATE!!!

Wow I really wish trees DID look like that. Overall average movie and a bit of a anti-climatic ending. I wanted to see more of the characters voice acted by Taylor Swift & Zac Efron because I found them interesting and cute.

Really LIKED this movie! I loved the setting and how it took place during World War ll. Very historical and not interesting if you are a history fan. Captain America is so cool and Steve Rogers seems like such a sweet guy. Gosh and Chris Evans is HANDSOME!
