I have read quite a few of these books and really enjoy them. My little sister loves it when I read these to her. She loves stories with action and adventure. I of course sugarcoat some the details and leave a few out entirely, but she sure loves to listen to them. Almost as much as I love reading them! I would LOVE to receive this book and add it to our I SURVIVED bookshelf! Pretty Pretty Pretty Please with a cherry on top! Thank You so very much Scholastic Press! And thank you Lauren Tarshis for writing this book!
This book looks extremely interesting and factual, and I would love to learn more about them. I myself have never been in a situation like this, so I would really love to learn, and know how people handled, and reacted, to being in a situation so horrifically tragic and terrifying. I would really appreciate receiving this book, to add to my I SURVIVED bookshelf! I am a huge fan of these books! Thank You Scholastic Press!
I feel you... the movies completely ruined it! The whole movie is wrong starting with Annabeth's hair color/style. But the entire movie is about them going on a journey to find Persephone's pearls... where as in the book the lady in the water just gives Percy 3 pearls, the movie's plot is not even close to that of the book! The first part of the movie is close enough though...
Did you completely finish the series? Because that is not the whole story... along with the rest of that series, there is another book series called 'The Heros of Olympus' that continues the story after this book. I think you would better understand it if you continue reading... :)
Once I had read Book 1: 'The Lightning Thief' I was hooked. I mean I was literally obsessed with everything 'Percy Jackson' EXCEPT FOR THE MOVIES!... Anyway it's a great book! You should totally read it!
A friend of mine had read the series and was reading 'The Heros of Olympus' the book series that continues the story, after the 'Percy Jackson and the Olympians' book series. She told me about it, it sounded interesting, so I went to the school library, found 'The Lightning Thief' and started reading.
