swirlycool's book review was featured in The Go-for-Gold Gymnasts: Winning Team (Go-for-Gold Gymnasts, The).
Brittany Lee Morgan is an elite gymnast. She and her family moved to Texas so she could go to a world-class gymnastics facility. When she gets there, she comes up with some ideas of conversation starters to talk to the girls there. However, her intentions are mixed up and it causes conflicts between herself and her teammates. When she keeps doing things her way and not listening to her coach, she risks losing her spot on the team as well as almost getting injured. Not only that, but her friend from her old school confessed to her that she spoiled her party when she made everything about her. Even though Brittany seems to have ruined all her friendships, she has not messed up the friendship with her friend Jessie. However, when Brittany notices something about her that nobody has yet, Jessie asks Brittany to keep it a secret. Brittany betrays her trust and tells a coach as well as her team. She now has another conflict within herself- did she do the right thing by telling the coach, or was it wrong of her to tell a secret that wasn't hers to tell? How will she make things right in the end? Overall, I enjoyed this book and I recommend it to people who are interested in gymnastics or like to read books that are realistic about real life situations. I rate this 5/5.

This book has information on princesses from the present to the past. If you are looking for information about a princess, then this is definitely the book for you. This book is very colorful, and it has information including facts, achievements, and how long each reign lasted. It also includes pictures on almost every page. I recommend this book to people who are interested in learning more about princesses and royals through history. I rate this book 5/5.

Noelle is determined to win a gold medal at the Junior Nations Championship. She knows it won't be easy with her competition. Not only that, but her family is struggling and she knows they have already invested so much on gymnastics. However, she gets distracted and her mind is filled with even more worries. However, Noelle knows she must not let people down. She cannot let anything get in the way of her dreams of going to the Olympics, or making it to Nationals. Overall, I liked this book and I recommend it to people who like gymnastics or people who like reading books about realistic topics. I rate this book 5/5.

Nick Allen loves to make things more interesting at school. He has plenty of great ideas. When he goes to fifth grade, his teacher Mrs. Granger told him to write an essay about words and the dictionary. This leads to Nick coming up with an idea for a new word. He would now call a pen a frindle. Because many kids were staying after school because they called a pen a frindle, it started attracting the attention of the public. At first it started off as a joke, but the word spread and the popularity of the word started rising. Soon the word frindle would be the new, worldwide name for a pen. Overall, I enjoyed this book and it was very interesting to the influence the word had on the rest of the world. I recommend this book to people who enjoy comedy books. I rate this book 5/5.
