risa_i's book review was featured in The Fall of Five (Lorien Legacies, Book 4).
The Fall of Five is the fourth of the Lorien Legacies, where all of the Garde finally got together and are starting to prepare for the upcoming war that may happen at any moment. They all kept a positive attitude towards the fight regardless of how it might be a burdensome task. While all the events they do together, the Garde found out some facts that they never knew about, such as the real identity of Ella and the real side of Five. Five was actually helping the Mogadorians, which makes him a traitor. He killed one of Garde, which made rest of the Loriens shocked. This makes me relate to reality and a quote I’ve known, which is “Be careful who you trust and tell your problems, not everyone that smiles at you is your friend.” In reality, people may seem to be trustworthy and friendly, but some of them intends to do malicious acts to you. Throughout the novel, Five seemed to be trustworthy as well, yet he was a traitor who betrayed the Garde. My favorite part of this book was when they played capture the flag together, I loved how every single one of them showed their strength and their teamwork while they work together. This is so far one of the most entertaining book in the whole series and I’ll strongly recommend the Fall of Five to readers who likes adventure novels.

risa_i's book review was featured in The Rise of Nine (Lorien Legacies).
The Rise of Nine is third book of the series, and the loriens are getting stronger and stronger. Six found seven, eight, and ten while John found nine. They all share the same goal, which is to find one another and fight defeat Setrakus Ra and save both Lorien and Earth. Meanwhile, many challenges came across them and each of the Garde fought hard to defend themselves. They’re growing stronger than ever, they believe that soon enough they’ll be able to win the Mogadorians. This novel is split into three perspectives: John’s perspective, Six’s perspective, and Marina’s perspective. My favorite part is when they all come together and fought Setrakus Ra, the events that happened throughout the battle was extremely entertaining and made me wanted to read on. Also, I really admire Six because she’s really brave and strong, and I like the way how she act in the book and the way she talks. Other than that, I believe that this book gives us an advice, which is that you’ll be so much stronger together rather than alone. Throughout this entire story, they were quite weak when they’re alone, but as they start to find one another, they grew stronger than ever, which shows that how interacting with one another can change a lot. Overall, I really enjoy this book and I’ll suggest this book to readers who are interested in reading genres that’s related to adventure.

risa_i's book review was featured in The Power of Six (Lorien Legacies).
The Power of Six is split into two perspectives: John’s perspective and Marina’s perspective. Finally, after all the fighting against the Mogadorians (which was mentioned in book one,) John finally settled everything and started to work together with Six. Meanwhile, Marina, which was also known as Number seven, was having issues with her cepan, Adelina, since her cepan somewhat left everything behind already. One day after Marina opened her chest, John and Six got a signal, which made them had the plan to find Marina. I really believe that John is an extremely brave person since he continued going even though Henri died, it’s not easy to let go of someone that you had loved for your entire life. That also connects to one of my favorite part of the novel, which was when John read the letter that Henri wrote for him. I personally think that’s it’s very touching, and it explained a lot of unsolved answers that John once had. I really enjoyed this novel, and I’ll suggest readers who has interests in adventure stories.

risa_i's book review was featured in Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul.
Diary of a Wimpy Kid (The Long Haul) is about an ordinary teenager named Greg who’s just trying to enjoy summer break, which had just started. Unexpectedly, his mom planned a surprise road trip. Most of their family members were unsatisfied with what she came up with and showed a reluctant attitude, yet they still went on that trip. Throughout the trip, events that happened were unexpected, none of them actually imagined anything like it would happen on their road trip. I can somewhat understand Greg’s feelings towards the trip because I had experiences of unexpected trips and unwilling to go to the trip as well. Also, his personality is just like any other teenagers, who wants to spend summer break on activities that interests them the most. I enjoyed the parts where their family had to deal with the pig that Manny got, it was exceedingly entertaining and I actually laughed out for a few parts of it. Overall, this is an interesting novel and I’ll recommend this to readers who likes to read about teenager’s life.
