How awesome would it be if having surgery meant inserting a tiny chip into the blood system and then going about one's normal business, while the surgeon swims around, fixing th...

Just opening a discussion page on this article. (For a school assignment, so don't assume I'm a nerd.) I need to discuss the pros and cons of this new technology. Sorry if this gets too long, but it's an assignment. Now for my comment: This is a great piece of technology. It could cure anything that is wrong with your body. It would be better inserting this into your body where only a small area would hurt, whereas if surgeons had to cut open your body and then stitch it all up again. If there was an incision for the surgery, you probably wouldn't be able to get up and do things. But with this, you can go about your normal business-playing your sports, going to the big party, playing in your concert. On the other hand, this could have some negative effects too. You're putting something into your body that wasn't there before. What would happen if your immune system thought it was a virus, started attacking(this sounds ridiculous, but I've done my research), and you got sick, because of something that was trying to help you. If this happened the instrument would probably be destroyed, it wouldn't take care of the surgery, and you would have a piece of technology floating in your blood. Gross. Also, it would take the place of a surgeon, therefore putting millions of people without a job. Were you thinking of becoming a surgeon. Think again. This new piece of technology is taking away your dream. This may sound harsh, but I've read about robots, and how if there becomes enough robots that do different jobs, there won't be enough jobs for people to do to earn a living. There will be to many people living in the streets. Do you want your family to end up like that? That's were all this technology is headed. In conclusion, this technology is really cool, and it would be one step closer to figuring out all those cures to illnesses, but there can be dangers too. :)
