Almost 5 years agokruzingwithk9s's book review was featured in Kid Activists: True Tales of Childhood from Champions of Change (Kid Legends).
People often say: âYouâre just a kid, you canât do anythingâ. Well, some kids like Ruby Bridges, did do something! She faced crowds that said that black kids canât go to white schools. But she went to the school anyway! Or Rosa Parks, who refused to move to a different seat so a white passenger could sit. This book tells the true childhood stories of kid activists. Such stories like Helen Keller, the blind and deaf girl who stood up for disabled people. Frederick Douglass taught escaped slaves; Harvey Milk thought everyone should be treated equal, Iqbal Masih fought to end child slavery, while being a slave himself. And Malala Yousafzai thought that everyone should have education. After all, in order to become an adult, you must be a kid. So ignore those people that say kids canât do anything and go out there and do something! This book was seriously good, and I couldnât put it down. Iâm going to go see if my library has the rest of the series because it was so good.Almost 5 years agokruzingwithk9s added a book review.

The perfect guide to surviving the depths of the spooky graveyard! Read all about zombies, mummies, ghost, werewolves and some more creepers of the night. Some of the "articles" in the book where kinda creepy and some weren't that interesting and for every scary monster page there is a funny joke like - why did the skeleton not cross the road? --- It didn't have the guts! Corny... But funny :D recommend for 7+ Thanks for reading -Ajg16's reviewsAlmost 5 years agoajg16 added a book review.
Get ready to laugh.. And cry reading this book! Lise is just a normal twelve-year-old girl with an amazing mom she looks up to and a cute smart little brother, Free, who doesn't speak (there is nothing wrong with him though) One day Lise's world comes crashing down hard and her mother is in a horrible car accident as her mom begins to recover she decides to go on a family vacation where she grew up in Maine on the beach. Lise hates it there but slowly comes around with the help of her mom and brother, her mom's friend Michael (a doctor and someone that the mom grew up with) and Ben in old man who lives near there "cottage". I have fallen in love with this book and I hope you will to Recommended for 12+ Thanks for reading -Ajg16's reviewsAlmost 5 years agoajg16 added a book review.
