The amusement park in Florida before Disney World is Walt Wilkie's Wonder World. It opened a year before Disney World in 1970. However, ever since then, The Wonderland has barely been able to stay open. That means to Grandpa's and P.T.'s dissatisfaction, they will never make it big like the Hiltons. However, they still hope to snatch the title of "Hottest Family Attraction in the Sunshine State" from Disney. With P.T.'s mom being the only real grown-up in the family, she is disappointed when Grandpa and P.T. give out free ice cream. To P.T., the Wonderland Motel is the best place a kid could live. Things start to go downhill when P.T.'s mom finds out that Grandpa took out a one hundred thousand dollar balloon payment a couple of years ago without telling anyone. Now they have to pay it back. P.T.'s mom thinks their only option is to sell the attraction, but P.T. is not ready to give up yet. They learn soon that they can make money by entertaining guests, but now P.T. meets a genius friend, Gloria, who will help him. Together they create a treasure map, and solve a mystery. I enjoyed this book. It was an interesting idea, the perfect place for a kid to live. There were bad guys and riddles. This is a great read for ages 7 and up!

What happens when a billionaire game maker creates a public library? He challenges students to escape the library through a series of puzzles and riddles, like a game. Kyle Keeley loves board games and video games. After he is grounded and not allowed to play video games, he learns that there is a contest to get early access to the new public library built after the old one was destroyed 12 years ago. If victory is his, he plans to play video games his whole visit. He must write an essay, and 12 12 year olds will be chosen. He is chosen along with Miguel Fernandez, Akimi Hughes, Andrew Peckleman, Bridgette Wadge, Sierra Russell, Sean Keegan, Haley Daley, Rose Vermette, Kayla Corson, and Charles Chiltington. Once they enter, they eventually find out that this is no ordinary visit. In fact, this is a game to exit the library. This is a change of plans, and Kyle is determined to win. The winner will be famous and also recieve lots of money. Many contestants decide to team up, while some use others. There are many ways to become disqualified. Sometimes players get penalties for incorrectly solving a puzzle. THis book was amazing! Chris Grabenstein really knows how to keep you hooked to the plot and on the edge of the seat. Your heart is beating because you don’t know how the challenge will end. Will the character solve the puzzle, or get disqualified? The author also lets you know what every player is doing. They may have a piece of the puzzle that someone else needs. While reading this book, I was wondering why I did not pick this book up earlier. The puzzles and clues are complex, but not impossible. I enjoyed playing along. I cannot wait to read the sequel. THis is definitely a 5 star book. A great for grades 3 or 4 and above.

Have you ever seen Bigfoot? Tobin Sky plans to. Lemonade LIberty Witt is a girl whose mom has recently passed away, and now she must live with her grandfather, Charlie. Here she meets Tobin Sky, CEO of Bigfoot Detectives Inc. After taking the oath, Lem is now an assistant at Bigfoot Detective Inc. They may have a clue when a resident of Willow Creek calls. Every clue gets Lem closer to solving the Bigfoot mystery, and accepting her new family. This was a cool book, with an interesting idea. I have never read a fictional book on the topic of Bigfoot. The characters were also very interesting. However, at time you cannot relate to the characters very well. You should try this book!
