One choice can destroy you. Veronica Roth's second #1 New York Times bestseller continues the dystopian thrill ride that began in Divergent.

A hit with both teen and adult readers, Insurgent is the action-packed, emotional adventure that inspired the major motion picture starring Shailene Woodley, Theo James, Ansel Elgort, and Octavia Spencer.

As war surges in the factions of dystopian Chicago all around her, Tris attempts to save those she loves—and herself—while grappling with haunting questions of grief and forgiveness, identity and loyalty, politics and love.

If you've read "Divergent" you don't want to stop so keep reading the second book!

very true @kaate

Insurgent is a amazing, interesting, and mysterious book all rolled into one. So let's review it. The genre of the book Insurgent By Veronica Roth is science fiction more specifically dystopian. I personally really like this book although it is not as good as its predecessor Divergent, it is still a great book I would rate it a 8/10. The book Insurgent starts out right where Divergent left of Tris and Tobias tour around the different factions, constantly trying to escape the evil hands of Erudite. But the Erudite use their simulation powers to their advantage and make it so that a Divergent must turn himself in or else those under the influence of the simulation will kill themselves. Tris goes behind Tobias’s back and turns herself in, and is experimented on at Erudite to help them find a simulation that will work on Divergent. She eventually escapes (along with Tobias) with the help of Peter, because he felt he owe her one. But if I tell you any more I might spoil the book for you so now I will stop. The setting of this who story is in a dystopian Chicago, Illinois. Comparing the book yo the movie I liked the book better but I have to admit the movie did a great job of staying true to the story. I also recommend this book to anyone no matter what gender and what age, just to keep in mind their are some Lovey dovey parts so you have been warned. Well thank you for sticking with me and have a great day.

Insurgent is a great book to read. The book is about a girl name Tris and his friend four fighting the corrupted society. In the novel, they found a mystery box that need a lot of skills to open it. After opening it they realize that the society they lived in is just a experimental society. The people doing the experiment is just wanting to see what potential does divergent has. If I finally realize that I am living in a society that is just been tested I would be curious and mad at the same time. I never chose to spend my life being tested and the person just did without my permission. I would also be curious and walk out of the world and see what is the real society like. Who are the people that are doing the experiment? Why do they do this? Are there any other society being tested? I will definitely walk out of the society and start exploring the new world.

I love this book but I hate Allegiant.

A fascinating book with ups and downs and life-changing decision. I recommend reading Divergent before this one and watching the movies after. Happy reading! -RinKun

Awesome book! Sequel to the bestselling book Divergent.

Do you know what it's like to have your entire world ripped apart? If so, then you'll probably relate to Insurgent by Veronica Roth. Tris, the protagonist, Tobias, whose name was Four in Divergent, and the factionless all fight against the Erudite-Dauntless army. Jeanine and the Erudite-Dauntless army, the antagonists, fight to kill all Divergents, and take down any Abnegation member. This is one conflict. Another conflict is finding a stable place to live when most of the Abnegation are dead, and there's the Erudite and Dauntless who will kill you if they find you. This book is set in the future, and in Chicago. The turning point in this book is when Tris’s friends start to go under simulations caused by Erudite, they warn her that she must surrender herself to Erudite. Tris follows this direction to protect the Amity, Candor, Abnegation, and the factionless from Erudite’s simulations. Jeanine puts her through lots of tests to find out what's so different about the Divergent. I like this book because it has a lot of action and drama. Insurgent is a very good sequel to Divergent, and I would definitely recommend this book if you've already read Divergent.
