The first in New York Times bestselling author Michael Grant's breathtaking dystopian, sci-fi saga, Gone is a page-turning thriller that invokes the classic The Lord of the Flies along with the horror of Stephen King.

In the blink of an eye, everyone disappears. Gone. Except for the young.

There are teens, but not one single adult. Just as suddenly, there are no phones, no internet, no television. No way to get help. And no way to figure out what's happened.

Hunger threatens. Bullies rule. A sinister creature lurks. Animals are mutating. And the teens themselves are changing, developing new talents—unimaginable, dangerous, deadly powers—that grow stronger by the day. It's a terrifying new world. Sides are being chosen, a fight is shaping up. Townies against rich kids. Bullies against the weak. Powerful against powerless. And time is running out: On your birthday, you disappear just like everyone else...

Michael Grant's Gone as been praised for its compelling storytelling, multidimensional characters, and multiple points of view.

I love this book

so far it is good and it has lots of action and people with magic powers and people 15 and over are disapering and when you turn 15 you go poof.

What if everyone over 15 vanished? How would people react, and what would they do? That's what Sam wondered, when the impossible became possible. Now, the kids left on Peridio Beach have to fend for their own, and look up to their leader, Sam. But with oncoming threats from others with powers more dangerous than Sam's, and his fast approaching birthday, how will the right person remain in command?

nice!

I thought GONE was a cool book. I really liked how Sam found out that he had a brother. If I could have a super power it would be invincibility. The powers the kids had in the story made the book much more interesting. I was left wondering how they got their powers and what will happen in the next book.

Gone, by Michael Grant. This book is about a boy called Sam. One day, out of the blue, everybody over the age of 15 disappears. Gone. Poof. There seems to be an dome-shaped barrier around them. At that moment, some kids develop powers, aka, Superhuman speed, tele-potation, light, energy balls. Sam, has to help take care of the younger kids, ration out food supplies and stop Caine, his half brother and his bunch of thugs from killing, murdering capturing and abusing the other kids. Will they make it? Find out more in the Gone series.
