And terrible luck lands him in detention--with the bullies! So when the Brothers start treating him like a friend, Peter is thrilled and scared. Why are they doing so? Why is Drew suddenly grumpy and angry? And most of all--what are these new rumors about a thief at the school? If detention is a gift, then anything can be done! And that is made reality in this hilarious, rebellious novel by David Yoo!

Detention
The best worst thing to happen to Peter Lee?
Peter and his best friend, Drew, used to be so cool (or, at least, not total outcasts) in elementary school. But now they're in middle school, where their extensive mica collection and prowess at kickball have earned them a new label: losers. Then Peter attracts the unwanted attention of the school bullies, and his plan to become popular through his older sister, the practically perfect Sunny, backfires.
Things go from bad to worse when Peter gets detention. But what at first seems to spell his utter doom turns into an unlikely opportunity for making friends and influencing people. . . .
Book Reviews (3)
It was a nice book, fairly written, my problems with it was it didn't describe ANYONE other than giving us their 5-letter name. No eye color, hair color, skin color, personality, no NOTHING! You basically have to rely on the book cover and your imagination to visualize anyone in the book. Also, be prepared to be against Peter, because he is THE MOST COCKY BOOK CHARACTER I have read about in a LONG time. You will enjoy this if you are an avid reader of Realistic Fiction.
If you are going into middle school and want to learn all about detention... then I recommend this book.
