This book is for people who love a story about war and adventure. You also can finish in less than one week because it is 130 pages so it is fairly short. This is a great book for people who like books about fictional war. If you also like rule-breaking you will read this book every day for the rest of your life I promise. This book is probably one of my favorite books I highly recommend it.

The book The Journal of James Edmond Pease is an interesting book about a distressed soldier. He is tasked by a war official to keep a journal of the war. It is filled with parts of his life in the war, a few letters romantically, and friendships in the camp. How people get promoted, and when they lose one battle only fate can decide our character's future. It is very suspenseful always having you on the edge of the seat, especially in the middle of surprise attacks. I enjoyed this book because of the adrenaline you get even if you aren't in the war. The way the author expresses the character's emotions and feelings is extremely awesome. It leaves off on a cliff hanger which I really like. There are some major unexpected reveals at the end of this magical book as well! I really suggest you read this book.

I would recommend this, but only as an easy reader. In this civil war book, There is lots of action, war, and adventure, but for most of the book, it is annoying how until near the end, there is no action. The book ended very satisfyingly, as long as you read the epilogue. I would definitely recommend this, but being so short, it's not a good assignment book.

I would recommend this to someone who likes action and a bit of romance almost and adventure. It got really good around page 90 or so. The book ended with a big cliffhanger which didn’t make me super impressed with the ending.
