The Outsiders Book Reveiw The novel The Outsiders was written by S.E. Hinton. The novel The Outsiders is a Drama. This book took place in a neighborhood in Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1965. In this neighborhood there are two main gangs, the Greasers (the poor part of the neighborhood) and the Soc’s (the rich part of the neighborhood). The Greasers and The Soc’s both want to hurt and even kill each other. But, one time the Soc’s took it too far and tried to drown Ponyboy so his friend Johnny stabbed the Soc and killed him. Johnny and Ponyboy then both fled and hid from police. While they were in hiding they came across a church that was burning down and it had kids in it. Ponyboy and Johnny didn’t think twice and rushed into the burning building trying to save the little kids. Ponyboy questioned why the gangs constantly fought and tried to end the gang violence in the area. Bridging the gap between the rich and the poor, the horrific cycle of violence, and sacrifice for one’s friends are three themes portrayed in this book. This book was outstanding for many reasons. The book was packed with action and I felt as though I was never bored while reading the book. I love the ultimate plot of the book and the ultimate lesson that the author showed. I give this book 4.5 stars and most definitely recommend it.

This book is very creative. I love the story behind all the characters and how they all care about each other. I don't want to spoil, but this book made me cry. It is a very good book, though. Highly recommend it! (Also, I love the name choices for Ponyboy and Sodapop lol.)

This book is fantastic. I love how she gets bullied and they always need the nerds help. Sometimes is good to be smart. And in times to be a nerd. She's super smart, and I like the way she is. This made me realize, you need to get good grades in life, or be super smart. She has so many things she created. And, you would get a lot of money. This made me feel like I am smart because, some things she knew I knew The theme is never bully. Mostly because they always needed her help in every single way. If you don't like bully's and love a good ending, you would love to read this book. And also if your like me, and don't like scary things, this book isn't really harming or doing anything to touch anyone. Or also, if you love to have happy people of even a nice people you would love this book too! And lastly, You would love this book if you don't like bully's cause at the end they paid a price and now they love her.

Seems like a good book

I appreciate how this book doesn't steer clear of somewhat disturbing topics, (drugs, smoking, gangs) but overall I just don't really like this book. Many people like it, but it just isn't my thing. It's not a badly written book by any means, but it's also not one that I can relate to. I wouldn't have read it if not for my English teacher making us read it.

REALLY good, although I just started it, (Currently on chapter 3) It is about a kid named Ponyboy ( Yes, that is his real name) who is a "Graeser". So, basically, the Greasers hate the "Socs" (Socials), because the socs randomly like to jump them. Anyway, Enjoy Reading it! ;)

Great book! I was obligated to read it in school, and that may have lowered my interest in it, but nevertheless, I stuck to it. S.E. Hinton truly impressed me with this work of a novel. She was a young teenager when she wrote this and it clearly changed the way that realistic fiction is written. One thing that I really enjoy about this book is the way it relates to its target audience. It portrays the conflict through the perspective of a young teenager in a gang. The Outsiders is a great book that represents the concepts of love, loyalty, and bravery. If you get the chance to read this novel, please do. It is one you won't regret.

This book is about a young teenage boy named ponyboy Curtis, he lives with his brothers Darry which he thinks might just hate him, and Sodapop ;a movie star looking greaser. One night ponyboy and his friend Johnny get jumped by a Soc named Bob and his gang. Couldn't get worse right? Well it just did. Turns out Johnny killed Bob. Ponyboy and Johnny run away. Have they started there life of crime?? Will they be able to uncover what happened and tell the truth? Will ponyboy ever get to see his brothers again ( even if one hates him?) Well find out in this book The Outsiders number 1 best selling book made by S.E Hinton! I recommend this book to 6th grade and up. Its a thrilling novel with lots of action, some good times, some bad times, and the very bad times.....
