MEET KIRANMALA:
INTERDIMENSIONAL DEMON SLAYER
(Only she doesn't know it yet.)

On the morning of her twelfth birthday, Kiranmala is just a regular sixth grader living in Parsippany, New Jersey . . . until her parents mysteriously vanish and a drooling rakkhosh demon slams through her kitchen, determined to eat her alive. Turns out there might be some truth to her parents' fantastical stories-like how Kiranmala is a real Indian princess and how she comes from a secret place not of this world.
To complicate matters, two crush-worthy princes ring her doorbell, insisting they've come to rescue her. Suddenly, Kiran is swept into another dimension full of magic, winged horses, moving maps, and annoying, talking birds. There she must solve riddles and battle demons all while avoiding the Serpent King of the underworld and the Rakkhoshi Queen in order to find her parents and basically save New Jersey, her entire world, and everything beyond it . . .

I just started reading this book and I can't wait to see what happens next. A lot of exciting things are already happening

Kiranmala is an ordinary sixth grader...with extraordinary parents. She often feels like her family is too different from everyone else—not just because of their food or clothes, but because they think of fact and fiction as the one thing. Well, that’s what she thought. Her mother had always told her that she was an Indian princess, actually the daughter of a serpent king, but Kiran normally scoffed at this. Until her twelfth birthday. Until a monster, right from her parents’ Indian folktales, breaks through her house. Until two mysterious boys who claim to be princes show up on her doorstep. Until her parents disappear. Now, Kiran is sucked into a world of kingdoms, princes, and danger, all in search of her mother and father. As she meets new friends and enemies alike on her journey, she learns secrets—secrets that could destroy her, not only from the outside, but from within. Can she find her parents—before it’s too late? Read this book to find out!
