DOGO Media is a next-generation online network empowering kids to engage with digital media in a fun, safe and social environment.
“DOGO” means young or small in Swahili. While our young fans may be small, they act BIG as they engage with our websites and express their opinions on the content that interests and inspires them.
DOGOnews was created in ‘09 by a young mother in the SF Bay Area who couldn’t find a reliable and safe source for her grammar school children to use for current events assignments. The word spread…first a couple of classmates read it, then teachers at the school found out about it, and now thousands of students and teachers from around the world are using the DOGO websites in-and-out of the classroom on a daily basis. What started as a small project has quickly grown to a community of kids and educators engaging positively on the current events, books, movies … (and lots more to come) that excite them!

DOGObooks.com – Where kids discover, review and rate the books they love. We strive to provide a fun, safe and interactive environment for children to share their reactions, thoughts and opinions about books. All user book selections and reviews are moderated prior to being published. All books are available for purchase online through our affiliate partners.
DOGOmovies.com – Kids probably love movies as much as adults, if not more. But until we launched DOGOmovies there was no appropriate place for them to discover movies, watch trailers, rate and express their opinions. DOGOmovies.com features only kid appropriate movies and has a library of over 4,500 movies rated G, PG or PG-13. All user movies reviews are moderated prior to being published online.

iDOGO – Makes learning fun and interactive by allowing kids create custom avatars, link to peers and earn rewards for reading and expressing their opinions.
DOGOteachers – Enables educators to easily integrate real world topics into the classroom learning experience by customizing our content to suit their curriculum, pace and style. Teachers can choose from thousands of non-fictional articles categorized by curriculum standards, create reading lists and maintain reading logs.
Meera Dolasia – CEO, Publisher & Editor
Meera defines and sets the overall strategy of DOGO Media. She is also the editor and primary contributor of DOGOnews. Prior to founding the Company, Meera led the product management team at Seneca Capital Management, where she was responsible for all portfolio positioning strategies and investment communications. Meera holds a BSc in Financial Services from the University of Manchester and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
Rupen Dolasia – VP Business Development
Rupen leads DOGO Media’s business partnership initiatives. Prior to joining DOGO Media, Rupen was founder and CEO of MXPLAY INC., a social media company that grew to over 1.5 million users within 18 months and was then acquired. Prior to MXPLAY, he was the founding partner of Granite Ventures and H&Q Ventures; and led investments in over 15 technology companies including: WebMD, Giganet and Plumtree. Rupen has a BSEE from the University of Massachusetts and an MBA from UCLA.
Ed Meagher – VP of Sales
Ed manages advertising sales for DOGO Media. Prior to DOGO, Ed managed West Coast Sales for the SIKids/TIME for Kids brands. Ed has also worked with Boys Life, Family Circle, Ser Padres, Red Herring and other magazines throughout his career. Ed graduated from Santa Clara University with a BSc in Marketing.
