While all Space missions are cool, some of the most exciting ones were conducted under the Apollo Program, between 1961 -1975. That's because the Apollo missions went where no man had ever been before and has not been, ever since - The Moon!

Apollo 11 along with its crew, Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin and Michael Collins, made history by becoming the first Lunar Module to successfully land on the Moon on July 20, 1969. While the video of Neil Armstrong's first words - This is one small step for a man, a giant leap for mankind - as he walked on the moon's surface is well publicized, not much is known about the fifth and final Apollo mission that reached the celestial body.

Turns out that Apollo 17, which landed on December 7, 1972, was carrying two fun loving astronauts Harrison Schmitt and Eugene Cernan and, while they did not say anything that made them world famous, the two did what most of us would have done - Prance up and down like children, singing - 'I was strolling on the Moon one day' . Though neither seemed to know the tune or the real words, their sheer joy at being where only ten men had been before, is a delight to see.

Of course after the jig, they did get down to serious business, conducting numerous experiments during the 22 hours in total, that they spent on the lunar surface.
