Carolina doesn't want to spend her summer at a sheep farm. Why? because in that farm, her family is moving her grandfather (Whom shes never met) into a home for people with dementia. While shes there, she loses her baby brother and almost lost him to a rattlesnake, learns that there on the ranch there has been a drought for 100 years, learns what happened to her grandmother, and more. Aurora has heard stories of Hedi her whole life. Mostly the one about how Hedi gave her luck to her mother for Aurora. But shes never met Hedi before, When a fire in their house happens, and Aurora's parents think she did it. It heartbreaks Aurora, worst of all her dog is missing. This story is about family, and was short, but good.Almost 5 years agoauntiebliked a comment in Summer Reading 2019.
