The Infinite Sea was okay compared to the first book which was The 5th Wave. I think the 5th Wave gave me more of a lasting impression than the Infinite Sea because I was already acquainted with most of the characters already. The book has such a haunting narrative throughout so I couldn’t help but be captivated by the plot (even though it wasn’t as good as the 5th Wave’s). The plotline is also full of action and suspense but the 2nd book is significantly shorter than the first, so I was kind of disappointed because as a reader I prefer longer books. I also like the way the author focuses on covering every plothole and answering every question through subtle hints, because that makes the reading experience even more immersive. My favorite character was Ringer, but the author is very unpredictable about his main characters as you cannot predict whether a secondary character will turn into a main character or not. Every character has a real background of their own and some of them are very relatable, and most of them have been through the same thing which are the first three waves: EM shutdown, tsunamis and the pestilence. I also learned something important from the series which is to always stick together because being a team is better than going solo, teamwork is very important.

I recommend this book, Kim is the main character and also my favorite character in the story. I feel very sad for Kim because his father is a hopeless, pathetic person that's addicted to alcohol, and he died at the very beginning. Leaving Kim behind, Kim was the poorest of the poor that went out begging for money everyday just to survive. I'm kind of confused in the part where he met Teshoo Lama, where he shot an arrow and when it landed, a river appeared. I'm not sure what does it mean but I think that's really cool and I really like how Kim never gives up and decide to become the disciple of Teshoo Lama. I think he's very brave and also Teshoo Lama is a very nice guy that decide to take this poor kid with him on the adventure of finding the river that'll cure anything and make everything pure again.

The Summer I Turned Pretty is one of the most amazing books I've read this year. Belly is finally going to be old enough to fit in with Conrad, Jeremiah, and her brother. Every summer she expects Conrad to notice her, but he never did. This summer, Conrad changed completely, he starts to smoke and stops talking to everyone, but so did Belly, she became pretty and her whole summer becomes out of control. I think my favourite character will definitely be Jeremiah because he's very friendly, humorous, and is always there for Belly to be her best friend no matter what. Whenever Belly is feeling down, he is there to solver her problems. I also love how the author uses many throwback chapters to let people know how much they have grown and to let us see what memories made Belly the person she is today. People should definitely read this book, Belly faces many problems that teens today can also experience, such as crush problems, puberty, friendship, and mostly growth. If you've read To All The Boys I Loved Before also by Jenny Han, you will love this book for sure!

Overall I think this story is much better than the last one but still a little bit disappointing in some parts. I really like how the story developed and how it’s much more detailed. In the last book, the atmosphere of the story is really bored and flow of the story is slow, the author didn’t really mention anything about how human survived and what humans are doing, instead the author start the story by random zombies showing up. In this book, I found a lot about the past of those characters and their broken memories, the author gives more detailed information about the cause and effect of the story lines. The best part about the book is that it talks about the actions and history of the characters.
