Yeah...I actaully grew up in hearing family so I am the only one in my family who is deaf! Sometimes can be so much fun, and sometimes hard for me because my dad`s family ingored me and refused to learn ASL so my dad`s family and I didn`t have any very good concetion at all...so it was SUPER hard for me! I agree that ASL can be so beautiful language, and CODAAlmost 2 years agoarmcginn replied to a comment in
I don't think you're too young to read SJM books, but all of her series cover some VERY adult content (if I wasn't clear earlier). You can certainty read whatever you like, and honestly there are far better books out there for people your age. I was much like you at your age, but now that I'm a bit older, I understand that the "I can read whatever I want" approach probably wasn't the wisest at the ripe old age of 13. And I definitely wouldn't say SJM books are PG 13, it's definitely R content. Some people don't enjoy that type of content, so I only wanted to give @dorischou a little heads up :) as for you @clearwater, I think you'd enjoy the Shadow and Bone series, or the Six of Crows Duology (they're amazing!!!)Almost 2 years agoarmcginnis now following springsunny.
Almost 2 years agoarmcginn's book review was featured in Siege and Storm (The Grisha Trilogy).
Alina is back in the riveting second installment of the Grisha Trilogy! More powerful than ever, she must evade the Darkling if she wants to stay free. The Darkling is a relentless hunter and will stop at nothing to find her. With the power of the Sun Summoner, he could rule the world. With the Sun Summoner on the loose, she could ruin his. Will she always run from The Darkling, or will she stand and fight? With the weight of the world resting on her shoulders, Alina must find her strength, gather her power, and face the storm. See the full extent of Bardugo's world-building mastery, watch her characters grow and develop. Complex and fascinating, Seige and Storm is a book worth your time! In this book, you'll meet a new cast of characters (Sturmhond rules!), explore the Grishverse, and see new sides to every character. Be sure to have the next book, Ruin And Rising close by- you won't want to put the series down! I know I couldn't- It only lasted me a day! I'd recommend it for 6th grade and up, I'm in Highschool and still enjoyed it to the full! I look forward to starting Bardugo's other series Six of Crows, soon!Almost 3 years agoarmcginn is reading this book.
