Henry, Jesse, Violet, and Benny Alderare orphans. The only living relative they have left is their grandfather, but they are afraid that he wouldn't treat them right. So the four sibling live on the run, only to discover an old abandoned boxer and make it their home. These creative kids take junk and turn it into treasure. But when Violet gets sick, they are forced to go to a resident doctor, who cares for them. But then Henry, Jessie, Violet, and Benny are finally reunited with their grandfather, who they love. I enjoyed this book especially for the way they turned useless looking things into useful, fun, treasures. I enjoyed it alot.

Now he's approaching his thirteenth birthday and he feels like he is being watched. Is Logan destined to fail like his sister? Artemis Fowl is back when he is abducted by fairies as a suspect for smuggling to the new goblin resistance. Of course, it was Holly Short who blamed Artemis. Holly reluctantly agrees, and Artemis is once again plunged into the world of fairies, with amazing technology, and startling secrets. There is no way the goblins, (who have the prain capacity of a rat) built themselves a shuttle, and started earth to core smuggling themselves- so who's behind the resistance? There's only one person (or should I say dwarf), that can help them figure out: The dead Mulch Diggums, only he's not dead, he's alive. Will Artemis Fowl be able to save the fairy world, or will he be dead before he can find his father?

This book definitely deserves a five star rating. It is narrated by a dog who is named Bowser. His new owner, Birdie, likes to solve mysteries, and when Birdie's famous stuffed fish, Black Jack, goes missing, Birdie knows that it is more than a simple theft. Follow Bowser and Birdie as they travel the Ballou, Search for treasure, and put the clues together. Except, Bowser usually has no idea what's going on. But that doesn't matter, Bowser is happy as long as he has Birdie- and a nice rawhide.
