I love this book!!!!!!!!!! I read the whole series. This book is the beginning of the wonderful trilogy by Suzanne Collins. In this book Katniss a sixteen-year-old girl is picked to go into the Hunger Games.In the Hunger Games there are 12 tributes that are put in an arena to fight to the death. Katniss's fellow tribute Peeta, is madly in love with her. So to stay alive she has to pretend to be in love with him too. At the end of the games only Katniss and Peeta are left. Katniss says that they should kill themselves at the same time so the capitol wouldn't have a victor. The Hunger Games is an exciting book full of adventure & interesting concepts. It is a very emotionally strong book for younger children but I'm ten years old and i enjoyed it quite frankly. this is one of the best books ever! Its a girl who lives in a corrupt government, who battles kids her age, fights for her life, and has to choose the love of her life.
