I would like to win this because I very much enjoy Weird But True books, as I love learning new facts. I share all these facts with my family and they also enjoy them!

Book was good. Too many not-kid-friendly jokes. Could of been better without that.

EVERYONE knows that Still Cove is off limits, due to rumors about a strange creature called the Beast. When Logan drives Nico's drone into Still Cove, Nico goes to try and get it back. He then falls into Still Cove and his friends follow to try and help him. While down there they find a strange island with a houseboat. The houseboat is a mess and abandoned, and they find a secret room that leads to a swirling pool that reads minds, and makes things called Figments. Figments are creatures made from stuff inside Nico and his friend's minds. They call this swirling pool the Darkdeep, and decide to keep it a secret. However when the Figments escape into the real world and start causing havoc, they need to learn to work together to defeat them. And save their town. A great book that leaves you wanting more and more. Definitely recommend.

Some people have siblings who scare them, dress up as monsters, just for laughs, but monsters aren't real, right? Carlton believes EVERYTHING his older brother, Milt, tells him. When Milt dresses up as a monster, Carlton then starts to believe in monsters and is now afraid of everything. When he realizes that no one will catch all the monsters, he decides to be the world's first Creature Catcher. As Carlton is practicing his monster catching skills on his family, his dad finally says enough is enough and forces Carlton to get a job. Meanwhile a kid on the beach eating a Laffy Daffy meal throws a French fry into the water. Which then wakes up a sea monster. When the sea monster raids the burger joint that Carlton works at, it's time for him to put his Creature Catcher powers to good use! Very good book and very cute. Recommended for 6-12 year olds.

Have you ever wondered if your stuffed animal's come alive when you're not looking? I have. And this book almost makes you believe they do! Spark is a teddy bear. She protects her dusa, (The best friend she is sworn to protect from monsters) Loretta. For a while she's been sitting on a shelf. But when Loretta starts sleeping with Spark again, Spark thinks something might be up. However she loves being snuggled again that she puts it out of her mind. When Loretta's friend, Sofia, from school goes missing, Spark is now more suspicious that something is going on. When a monster like nothing that Spark's seen before comes in Loretta's room trying to take her, she tries to look for her friend for his wisdom on what to do, but he's also missing. When the monster takes Loretta's brother, Spark must rally up with other stuffed animals to stop the monster and save the missing kids. This book was SUPER GOOD. Very very hard to put down.

Everyone has felt lonely, sad, depressed, whatever you want to call it, at times. And I think this book speaks to all of us at different points in our life. It would be nice, to look at this book when you are feeling these things. And maybe, just maybe, feel a little bit better because of it. That is all I have to say.
