Tales from the Odyssey (part two) Is the continuation of the first part of Tales from the Odyssey. As Odysseus continues his journey, his wife(Penelope) and son(Telemachus) long for his return to home as power-hungry suitors is looking for Penelope's hand in marriage. One day Telemachus has had enough and decides two set out on an adventure to look for his missing father. Unknowing to him, there will be more adventure than he thinks. I connected to this book due to my love of Greek myths and tales, as there's always some type of adventure just waiting to be read. I read the first part deciding it would be a good idea, and I was right! The book's way of storytelling is great and as someone who enjoys these kind of books, I can tell you that it was worth the time to read (after you read the first part). Overall, a great book with a great story 5/5 stars.

Wonder is about a little boy who has a face deformity and how he learns to befriend his classmates. He goes through struggles and tough emotions. I connected to this book because it shows every one deserves a chance. I give it a four-star because it's really nice that it shows every one gets a chance.

I've read a similar Stink book in the past about pirates. This book is about 8 year- old Jack and his younger sister Annie go to their treehouse for a ''mission'' and end up on the beach. Once on the beach, they see in the distance a boat approaching them. When the boat arrives pirates jump out and tell them to give them the gold. Jack and Annie are confused, and the pirates take them ''hostage''. The pirates look in their clubhouse and found a medal and accused them of hiding the rest. the kids soon find out the treasure'' map'' the captain had been read wrong. The kids then re-direct them to the right area. My connection to this book is I love treasure hunts.

Silverwing brought me through a flood of adventures! I truly couldn't put the book down! It is about Shade, the runt of his colony and is so small that he gets bullied for it. Then, one day, the colony goes on the yearly trip to go mate with the males and have babies. But, not two days have gone by and a storm approaches and the Shade is whisked away from his mother. He is very determined to go and find his colony before winter hits and reunite with his mom. Along the way, he meets friends, unexpected enemies, and unexpected allies helping him find his way. Does Shade have the strength in his tiny body to make it all the way? Will he find his colony in time? If so, are they at the destination already? This was truly a great read and I loved the leveled adventures and the moral of the story (I'll let you figure that out yourself!). I connected with the book because Shade and I are very small for age. I would recommend this book to 5th and 6th graders. The reason I gave this book a 5-star rating is because it was an action-packed book and the author gave great detail, as if you were apart of the entire book! What fascinates me the most is that the author chose bats as the main character, which is absolutely a great idea.

avanumbereight's book review was featured in The Search for WondLa.
Besteel, a creature that destroyed Eva Nine's sanctuary, shows up at certain times to hurt Eva and her friends. Eva Nine is forced to leave Muthur and she saved two creatures, Otto and Rovendor Kitt. She faces obstacles and many journeys trying to find a human like her. Eva has never seen a human, only in shows and movies. She finds a cardboard paper that reads "Wond" and "La". I made a connection to this book, because Eva Nine is eager to find a human species like her. This reminds me of trying to find someone like me to fit in with and be friends with. I rated this book a five star, because I loved following Eva Nine on her journey to find someone like her. I also loved to see Eva make friends along the way. I would recommend this book to my sister, because I feel she would be the only person that I know to give the book a shot at reading.
