My opinion of this book is a very short, but strong book. This book may only take a few minutes to read, but in those few minutes it teaches you a lot. It talks about love, and sadness. Jack's dog Sky, makes him very emotional sometimes. Which leads to him loving him, and being sad about him all in different ways. This is a very powerful book even though it may be short. I recommend this book to any audience, because it is a simple yet powerful book to read. It is a book that some elementary school kids will understand, but adults may like it too. This is an easy to read book as stated before, but any audience would like it.

The book I read was Scat, by Carl Hiaason. This book is about a teacher that goes missing. One of the kids at the school is blamed for committing the crime of starting a fire at a swamp, which the teacher had to go back into to get an inhaler one of the students dropped. The teacher never came out of the swamp. Read the book to find out what happens! My opinion of this book is an ok book, because at some points it was extremely hard to understand what's happening. This book is realistic fiction because things like this happen all the time, like people going missing. This is not a true story, but it could be. The audience that would read this book would be 7th and 8th graders because this book was hard to understand for me. This book would be good for older grades and not really recommended for elementary. An internal conflict is for Nick, because he is struggling with his dad. In the book his dad loses his arm, so Nick tapes his behind his back. There isn't really an external conflict in this book, because no one is really vs-ing each other. I would give this book a 6/10.
