This is a very sad story of a man doing everything for a woman but she turned out not repaying back but escaping with another man. Gatsby is a man that's very rich, but no one knows or want to know his past, everyone went to his parties, wasted his money but doesn't pay back. Gatsby had always loved a girl called Daisy. He conducted so many parties, because he hoped that she would come once. Finally, they met, then fell in love again. But when Daisy's husband found out, and a bunch of irrelevant chaos happened, Daisy decided to deny their love and escape with her husband that she never loved. This story tells us that, people can be so cruel and selfish. They can ignore every kindness people do for them because of their deeds. Gatsby was murdered at the end because of a misunderstanding that Daisy caused, even thought she did that, but Gatsby was still waiting for her to call without losing faith. This also tells us that a person can love another so much that he can ignore everything she've done and still love her and have faith in her.

I read this book while we're doing a hero book project, which is finding a book that has an everyday hero in ti. In this book, there are different heroes if you stand in different character's perspectives. From Macy's perspective, the friends she met during her caterer job were her heroes, because they helped her to get rid of that perfect but boring life. From Macy's mother's perspective, her daughters and crews are her heroes, because they helped her get over the grieve of husband's death. I really like this book because the words are very vernacular, but can be able to convey author's thoughts. Also, it contains a lot of humour in it which I love it, talked about high school life that I admire. It also described how a girl can overcome the pressure of her boyfriend, SAT scores, strict mom, which I might face in the future.

The fault in our stars is a very inspirational and beautiful story. It started off with a girl called Hazel that has cancer. She has very low self esteem because of the disease. Her parents forced her to go to the support group so get a more social life, although she deny it really bad, but she never knew that she will meet her true love in that support group, Augustus Waters. It's a sad story because in the end, the beautiful relationship of them can't continue because of their fate. But that also tells us that, people don't always get what they want, sometimes you just have to follow what fate tells us to do. And also for some people, even though they are just a part of your life, but for them, you might be their whole life. Cherish what you have now, because they might be gone at anytime. Although The Fault in Our Stars is only a book, but it is teaching us tons of lessons.
