Okay, guys. Does anyone have any good writing techniques or, like, how do you plan when you're writing a book. I'm in the beginning stages of this book I'm writing, and I always have trouble with the planning part. Any ideas?

This isn't your traditional almanac. It's really a book of facts. I liked the chapter "History Happens" most and "Amazing Animals" and "Fun and Games" the least. Other chapters include "Your World 2018," "Awesome Exploration," "Going Green," "Engineering and Technology," "Wonders of Nature," "Space and Earth," "Life Science," and "Geography Rocks." This almanac has lots of interesting photographs and factoids, but it takes forever to read from cover to cover. In total, there are 338 pages to read.

I liked Mr. Lemoncello's Library because it contains lots of riddles and puzzles to solve. There is a rivalry between the two main characters, Kyle Keeley and Charles Chillington. Kyle plays by the rules and is fair, but Charles turns out to be a bully and cheats all the time. There is a lot of suspense and twists and turns in the competition to see who can figure out how to get out of this high tech library.

This book is a Newbery Honor book and also won other awards. Jade is a disadvantaged black girl who lives in Portland, Oregon, and attends a largely white private high school so she can get a better education. She encounters a lot of white privilege and racism and she never seems to know where her next meal is coming from. Things, however, turn out better for her in the end. Read the book to find out.

Bad Kitty poses as a dog to go to Uncle Murray's Camp for Stressed Out Dogs (no goofy cats allowed)! The dogs and Uncle Murray find out that Bad Kitty is really a cat when she sniffs some catnip during a hike. Kitty saves Uncle Murray from a bear. The comics are hilarious and Uncle Murray's fun facts tell you a lot about the differences between dogs and cats.
