Do you like books with with adventure and some suspense, then you will enjoy the book The Journey Back by Priscilla Cummings. When a boy named Michael “Digger” Griswold pulls a prank that goes bad, he is sent to the Cliffside Youth Detention Center and has to escape to get back to his family to save them from abuse from the Father. The story takes place in The Cliffside youth detention center, a forest, a horse farm, a highway, a campground, and a Virginia Canal Towpath and it takes place in present time. The protagonist Michael is and the antagonist is the police because they are after him because he is on the run, another is a guy named Sherwood Hawkins steals all the money that Michael has preventing him from going anywhere. One conflict is that he is in jail on Maryland’s western border and that he has to escape. Another conflict is that he has to travel across the state with little money until Sherwood steals any money he has left. I really enjoyed this book and recommend it to any who is old enough to understand some of the harsh and some what violent content and is able to read the harder wording and grammar in the book.

Do you want to read a story about a dog that doesn’t make you cry? Well, Smells Like Dog by Suzanne Selfors is the book for you. This book takes place in modern days, and traverses through many different locations such as the pudding farm, the town of Milkydale, the big city, Ajitabh’s tower, the museum, and Madame’s lair. The protagonist is Homer Winslow Pudding. He is a 12 year old boy with big hopes of becoming a treasure hunter and becoming like his departed Uncle Drake. The antagonist is Madame le Directeur. She is the one who murdered Homer’s uncle because they were looking for the same map. The book focuses on a very droopy dog named Dog. He was Homer’s uncle’s most valued possession due to his secret treasure hunting abilities. The first conflict in the story is that Homer’s father will not let him pursue his treasure hunting dreams. The second and larger conflict is that Madame Le Directeur is looking for the same map that Homer is, and is willing to kill him to get it. The turning point is when Homer’s uncle’s most treasured possession is delivered to him after the death of his uncle. This possession turned out to be a very droopy dog with a mysterious coin that throws Homer into his treasure hunting dream. This book was great. It was funny, mysterious, and very enjoyable. I recommend it to everyone with a sense of adventure.

Are you a Star Wars fan? If not, stop reading. If you are, continue reading. Well fellow fans, we all know what happened to Obi Wan and Yoda after order 66, but what happened to Ahsoka? In this book, Ahsoka by E. K. Johnston, you’ll find out where her location is and what happened to her. The setting takes place right after order 66 and takes place on Raada. First thing you should know is she is alive. Another thing is she’s been trying to find the crystals that make a lightsaber active and alive, but first she lands on a moon called Raada. She meets a family that will soon be torn apart. The main antagonist in the book is the empire, and the protagonist is Ahsoka. First conflict, and central theme of all Star Wars genres is, good (The Rebellion) versus evil (The Empire). The specific conflict of this book is Ahsoka and her feelings of affection for a family she meets, versus the evil empire that is searching for her. The empire finds Raada and lands there. A few weeks later the have built a base with Imperial walkers and tanks. They find out that there is a Jedi on Raada and they go savage. They tear families apart and capture citizens to force them to tell them where the Jedi is, and something very bad happens to Raada. Ahsoka must flee! Find out what happens in Ahsoka, by E. K. Johnston. I recommend this to all StarWars fans.

What do you think it would be like to be in a bunch of madness at sea? This is the book known as, Life of Zarf: Troll overboard, by Rob Harrell. Our main hero is Zarf, just an average middle school troll, and his friends, Kevin, and Sierra. Our setting takes place at sea, (most of the time), But at other times an Island and Zarf’s hometown (Can’t find name). The trouble starts at the end of a middle school day when Prince Roquefort decides he wants to go on a diving trip with Zarf’s grandpa because he had been sailing before, and he had magic beans he had lost at sea. So they go on the boat, and travel far out at sea. Prince takes Zarf to help him when diving for his beans and then it starts, they encounter a dump truck sized sea monster, it proceeds to strike at them. The large green serpent almost consumes Prince R., but Zarf, Even though he hated him, Took a hard whack at his nostril, and he swam away. But when they come to the surface, they lost the boat. So in a way to put it, They are stuck in a hurricane tide ocean. But Fortunately, They found Kevin (a really freaked out friend of Zarf who really likes Mutton Pudding), As well, they spot a island. So they literally swim in dangerously high wave ocean. And reach the island, it may seem like they are stranded, But they find a mer-pig, S’wella. She didn’t do much though. Zarf and Prince were getting very, very hungry. So they take the beans from Prince Roquefort, and about half an hour later Later, the seeds basically turn them into human trees, Prince’s legs turn into trees, and Zarf’s hair is covered in leaves and branches.Sometime later, Zarf is roaming the beach of the island, But suddenly, a short pirate comes out of the blue, and threatens him with a sword, They take the others and bring them to the dreaded captain redbeard. Who reveals a secret, she is Sierra’s forgotten mom. Ridinghood, They go on a new boat (a big ol pirate boat),and kevin notices s’wella in the ocean, she yells to pull her up, And so they bring her up. She warns them that the sea witch was coming. They keep sailing and they end up in a area where they encounter a pod of sea serpents. They shoot spittoons at the monsters, and one of them is the serpent from earlier, Zarf shoots it off, and the serpents leave, only to encounter something worse, The sea witch herself. Her red eyes glowed, tentacles flung everywhere, and then the horrid mouth opened, Sharp teeth, Horrible gums, and godawful breath, the monster assaulted the crew, all of the crew, Zarf got attacked, but had an idea. The beans from earlier had a long shot, but still a shot, of killing the witch. He chucks the beans into the loathful mouth of the monster, the minute it swallowed the beans, It went nuts. Its teeth cracked, It started screaming, bushes and vines and all sorts of plant-like features started growing on the beast, and then, the witch dies. The madness had ended. I really liked this book, It had a ton of lovable unique characters with a lot of action and comedy, I would give this book 8.9/10 because some parts were cheesy and were a little confusing and I didn't like prince roquefort, I think people who enjoy comedy and action and basically random fiction like this would be good to recommend to. I had to post thi again because it had gotten deleted.
