This book is in the Red Queen series. Mare Barrow is now apart of the Scarlet Guard openly, and she is heartbroken over the betrayal of her betroned, Maven Calore. She and Cal Calore, brother of Maven, have escaped the castle and have been framed for something Maven and the queen are responsible for. Not only that, but they are in the race to find the newbloods, otherwise known as Red and Silver together, before Maven and the queen find them. Newbloods are even more powerful than Silvers, which is why they must be found for their safety because the Queen and Maven are aware of the power they hold, and how dangerous they may possibly be against them. Mare is also left with trust issues, and conflicts with her feelings due to the betrayal of Maven, and how she was tricked.. She is also concerned for the safety of her friend, Kilorn, who assures her he is capable of protecting himself. Overall, this book was good other than the excessive use of the words smirk and sneer and the slow plot. I recommend this book to people who enjoy dystopian or romance books. This book will also definitely spark your interest if you enjoy The Selection series. I rate this book 5/5.

Magnus Chase and his friends must outwit Loki, the trickster god. However, Magnus doubts that he can stop him, for he is not naturally good at fighting. Magnus's cousin, Annabeth Chase, lets her boyfriend, Percy Jackson, help Magnus. However, his help does not seem to do Magnus any good and Magnus has trouble keeping up. Instead, he is more into healing, due to the fact that his dad is Frey, the god of fertility and health. Samirah, a valkyrie, also has trouble resisting the orders of her dad, Loki. Alex Fierro, also the daughter of Loki and Samirah's sister, helps her resist Loki by training her. Magnus also has the Sword of Summer, also known as Jack. Jack is a talking sword, and also tends to get on Magnus Chase's nerves at times. Jack is useful, however Magnus must be careful because the sword may overwhelm Magnus if he grabs ahold of it after it is used greatly. Will they be able to defeat Loki with what they have? Overall, I liked this book and there was a lot of humor in it which I also enjoyed. If you are interested in Norse mythology, or you enjoyed the widely popular Percy Jackson and the Olympians series, or the Heroes of Olympus series, then this series will spark your interest. I also recommend this book to people who enjoy the Kane Chronicles trilogy, which includes Egyptian mythology and also has some humor involved as well. I rate this book 5/5.

Not only that, but now he has to worry about the fact that he may turn into something due to being scratched. Apollo has learned how to contact a god, so he chooses to contact his sister, Artemis. However, will she come? Apollo will also have to face a person he use to bully, and they may not be merciful. He will have to face people he was not good towards in the past when he was a god. This person is Harpocrates, the god of silence. He willingly leaves to be put in a jar with a person Apollo was also abominable to. He leaves so Apollo can save Camp Jupiter. Apollo also receives help again from the Arrow of Dodona. Also, Reyna resigns from being Camp Jupiter's praetor and Hazel and Frank are the new praetors.
