If I Stay is a tragic story about a high school girl named Mia. She gets in a car accident and the rest of her family dies, except her. As Mia lies in a hospital bed, her spirit separates from her body. She can see everything happen and how it affects the rest of her family, her friends, and especially her. Mia has to decide whether if she should stay or go. She has flashbacks and they also influence her hard decision. Mia is heartbroken as she experiences memories of her parents and pastimes with her boyfriend. You learn about Mia's life and how she can't decide if she wants to stay. This is an amazing book, and it kept me hooked until the last page. I was recommended this book and I would recommend this book to you!
