This is one of the best books I have ever read. Eoin Colfer, like me, is an Irishman. He has a fresh mind that makes fairytale more than damsels being rescued by handsome princes. Artemis Fowl is a twelve-year-old Irish boy, yet the greatest, most brilliant criminal mastermind in the world. With the help of his bodygaurd/manservent, Butler, and Butler's younger teenage sister, Juliet, Artemis captures an elf of the Lower Elements, Holly Short of the LEPrecon unit. Artemis throws her in a cell of solid rock where she is held ransom for "fairy" gold. But does Artemis really know what he's dealing with? Artemis thinks that he's one step ahead in the game, but then these fairies stop playing by their own rules.

Amy and Dan Cahill are the decsendants of Madrigals. Cahills, the most powerful family in the world. Yet they believed that after the clue hunt for the secret to ultimate power, their lives would return to normal. How wrong they were. Vespers Rising kicks off a new part to the 39 Clues series, and Amy and Dan, believe it or not, are in more danger than before.

This is the second thrilling book to The Hunger Games. First of all, if you can't read this sequel and handle some of the awkward parts, just wait until you mature a little, okay. Second, if you've read the first Hunger Games book, then you know what I mean when I say that the ending to the first book totally makes you want to read Catching Fire. Catching Fire starts off with how Katniss and Peeta are doing after their victory in the Hunger Games. The rest is mostly about Peeta and Katniss' return to the Arena. Katniss has fully turned against the Capitol in her mind, but is still imprisoned by their laws and power. Katniss has sparked awful rebellion across the country that infuriates their president, causing him to send already victorious tributes into the next Hunger Games, pushing Peeta and Katniss into a clock-structured Arena with trained and experienced killers. Can Katniss and Peeta set things right? They are determined to, but their time is running out.....

This is easily the best book of the year, it's loving tale and endless suspense appealing to both adults and kids. If you haven't read it yet, it's about time you do. 16 year old Katniss Everdeen is a citizen of District Twelve, and even bigger, a citizen of Panem, a country that rose out of the ashes of what used to be North America after a devastating war. Katniss lives in a small Seam house with her semi-absent-minded and shocked mother, and her 12 year old beloved sister, Prim. She takes care of her family, and goes out hunting with her best friend, 18 year old Gale, with snare traps, a bow, and some arrows. Her father died when she was very young in a mine accident. On the day of a reaping for the annual Hunger Games, a deathly competition going on for over seventy years for the entertainment and revenge of the Capitol, her sister is chosen. Katniss takes her place and with Peeta Mellark- a baker's son and the boy tribute from District 12- they head to the Capitol, and then on their journey to certain death. Katniss and Peeta team up, and it seems like she could really win this and return home safely. But when she and Peeta make it closer to the end, she has feelings and thoughts of rebel, and starts her journey through the sequel of The Hunger Games digging up the secrets under the Capitol's rain. But not everyone can survive through the lies.

This book was not very good. It's barely a book, all comics. Nate isn't at all anything like a real sixth grader, he acts basically like a second or third grader. Oh, and the whole bookis basically about him facing off a snotty girl who's obsessed about getting an A-plus, nothing will do but an A-plus, blah blah blah. PEOPLE! There is no such thing as an A-plus! Especially not in middle school!
