When I read the summary of A Drop of Hope, I thought it sounded interesting and wanted to read it. It ended up being a great read and was not disappointed by it at all. In Cliffs Donnelly, Ohio, legend says that there is a well that grants wishes. At a time when many people are struggling with their lives, they find themselves going to the well often. However, it is not always the well that does the work. Three kids- Ernest, Ryan, and Lizzy learn things about the well that no one else knows and are able to hear the wishes people make. Through kindness, friendship, and teamwork, they work together to make lives better for the people of Cliffs Donnelly and learn some important things about themselves along the way. A Drop of Hope is one of those books that make you feel happy inside. I would definitely recommend this book to others and hope you like it as much as I do!Over 5 years agohummingbird1 added a book review.

I have never read a book like Utomia: The Legend Beyond before, and am glad I had the opportunity to read this type of book! Loach, Sty, Nudge, and Leeland are a close group of fun-loving friends. But one day, what was meant to be a harmless experiment goes incredibly wrong. Purple smoke appears in the sky, and two different armies come to the boys' village. After Loach and Leeland's parents are captured, the boys find themselves alone. They decide to go to the famous city Utomia. As the boys venture off on their own, their journey brings them closer together and helps them learn the true meaning of friendship and brotherhood. Since I have not read much books with characters add animals, it took a little getting used to. It was also slow at times but overall, it was really well written. This book is good for boys and girls who enjoy adventure books. Thanks Dogobooks for sending me this book!Over 5 years agohummingbird1 has read this book.
Over 5 years agoiifreeze's book review was featured in Eragon (Inheritance).
Finished this entire series about 1 or 2 years ago, and I'd just like to say that Christopher Paolini is a great author. This is the start to the Inheritance series, a series featuring a young boy named Eragon (who grows older later in the series) who is pulled into an adventure with many twists and turns when his uncle is murdered in their village by the third force (I'm trying not to spoil this) that is in this series. Eragon figures out that Galbatorix, the so-called "Dragon King", is trying to get rid of him and rule the world. He travels with an old man named Brom and his loyal dragon, Saphira, whose egg he finds is the forest earlier on. The story slowly progresses with surprises around every corner and intense action. This book is honestly AMAZING and I would reccomend it to all people over the age of 7.Over 5 years agoiifreeze added a book review.
