techfashion0315's movie review was featured in A Picture of Her.
After her aunt breaks her leg, Beth, the first mate of her father’s fishing boat, goes to LA to take care of her. While there, Beth meets Jake, a talented freelance photographer. Unbeknownst to her, though, Jake, who goes by the name “Shutterbot” in a magazine he works for, took a picture of her. The picture, as it turned out, was incredible. It showed the true meaning of beauty and utter peace. Even though Jake only wanted it for personal use, the photo soon goes to his boss, who sends it out to be on the front cover of a magazine. Beth’s quiet life with her aunt turns into a glamorous, celebrity life where modeling companies are calling her constantly. But is this really the dream life after all? Or is Beth better off on the sea with her dad? Beth soon goes on a journey to try to track down the photographer of the photo, not knowing it was Jake all along. I really liked this movie. It was funny, sweet, pretty, and altogether a splendid film! I enjoyed the message that was carried throughout: fame isn’t everything. I would suggest this movie if you like watching romance, comedy, and photography. Happy watching!
