George O'Connor is a Greek mythology buff and a classic superhero comics fan, and he's out to remind us how much our pantheon of superheroes (Superman, Batman, the X-Men, etc) owes to mankind's ORIGINAL superheroes: the Greek pantheon.

In OLYMPIANS, O'Connor draws from primary documents to reconstruct and retell classic Greek myths. But these stories aren't sedate, scholarly works. They're action-packed, fast-paced, high-drama adventures, with monsters, romance, and not a few huge explosions. O'Connor's vibrant, kinetic art brings ancient tales to undeniable life, in a perfect fusion of super-hero aesthetics and ancient Greek mythology.

Volume 1 of OLYMPIANS, ZEUS: King OF THE GODS, introduces readers to the ruler of the Olympian Pantheon, telling his story from his boyhood to his ascendance to supreme power. This title has Common Core connections.

loved it. better than most graphic novels.

It was an action adventure. Zeus was the youngest of six siblings the other five had been swallowed by their father Kronos. Zeus had been spared since his mother Ria had dressed a rock in swaddling clothes and tricked Kronos. WHen Zeus was full grown he freed his brothers and sisters by giving Kronos a special herb that would make him very sick. They needed weapons for a war that was coming up with the titans. So they went down to Tartarus to free the cyclops's and hundred handers. The Cyclops's made the weapons and the hundred handers decided to help destroy the titans by throwing boulders.

This book is inappropriate and weird. I don't like inappropriate things and Greek Gods and Goddesses. I recommend this book to people who like Gods and Goddesses.

This book was not good at all. It was weird and inappropriate. Also I don't like Greek Gods and Goddesses. So I didn't like this book.

I would rate this book 3 stars out of 5. I liked some parts and I didn't like some parts. This book has exactly 80 pages. This book is also greek mythology which I love that. This book reminds me of Percy Jackson Greek Heroes.

This book was ok. I found it short and inappropriate. Very inappropriate. Also sometimes it was a bit boring.I recommend this book to people who like Gods and Goddesses.

I don't like this book really much since Greek mythology is already not one of my favourite subjects but also, this book didn't really describe the gods well

I did not like this book. Greek mythology is very interesting and fun, but this book didn't portray the gods well. I don't recommend it.

Greek and Roman myths are interesting but I didn't like this book. The graphics were not the best. There are other books in the series but they are just as bad. No offense

Zeus: King of Gods is an amazing graphic novel about Zeus and how he rescued his brothers and sisters from his dad, Cronus, how he became ruler of the gods and also about all the Greek Gods and Goddesses. I recommend this book to any one who likes graphic novels, Greek gods and goddesses, and/or action. Some parts of the book were a bit confusing, but other than that, the book was excellent.
