Jtqqxqqlevruyds9qwdgrfzffyrLove this movie so much. I've seen the first one a couple hundred times, and I have no doubt that I will be seeing this one as much. if not more. Packed with the same humor and energy, Pitch Perfect 2 is as good as the first one, if not better. Your favorite characters remained, but there were new additions including freshman Emily Junk, played by Hailee Steinfeld, who quickly becomes one of the main stars. I loved how they were able to bring the old stars, like Aubrey and Bumper and manage to bring them back into the movie. It was very interesting to see where everyone ended up and also how Becca and Jesse are doing, because the movie takes place 3 years later than the first one. There was also a new a capella group, DAS Sound Machine, who play the enemy, but quickly became my favorite. It was a whole new sound of a capella I've never heard before. My only complaint is that they focused too much on the relationships between four individuals (I'll give you a hint: they are new, blooming couples). Other than that, it was AMAZING.

borntoswim's movie review was featured in Strange Magic.
StrangemagicdvdcoverartStrange Magic. There were so many things about this movie, I don't even know where to begin. It was a really fun and entertaining movie, that's perfect for all ages. Most animated movies are usually for younger children and teens, but this movie appeals to even adults. If you liked the animated movie, Epic, you'll love this one because it incorporated the same themes and symbols like nature, love, fairies, magic, animals, friendship, importance of family, and other things, into the plot line. I personally thought that the Strange Magic animation was exceptional and the entire movie was extremely well made. The characters were fresh and exciting looking, instead of being another cliche animated character. Unlike Epic, there was a lot of singing. For some, this isn't a selling point, but I actually enjoyed the singing. Instead of original songs, there were many different songs from many years ago to the present. This is another reason why parents and children alike will enjoy this movie; adults will recognize and enjoy some older songs, and there are also songs kids can sing along to. For example, in one scene the main character, Marianne, began singing "Stronger" by Kelly Clarkson. I thought this part was very cool. In addition to LOVE, a strong theme running through the movie was FAMILY AND FRIENDSHIP. Similarly to Frozen, the two main characters were two sisters, one a princess, and one soon-to-be queen. The plot line was about a sister going to save her sister. Another theme, was to never judge a person by their looks. Just like Marianne, the main character, found, you have to looks past appearance. The ending wasn't all too surprising, but it was very different to any other animated movie, because everyone - the villain and hero - got a happy ending.

T90y3g8ugqp0f0drp60wru9gfrhAvengers: Age of Ultron. I don't even know where to begin for this movie. I've been obsessed with Marvel comics for as long as I can remember; from the characters to the plot line every single comic and film is pure genius. This movie comes as no exception. If you think the first Avengers was good (and I loved it), then this one will blow your mind. The actors/actresses - Chris Hemsworth, Robert Downey Jr, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Mark Ruffalo, Elizabeth Olsen, (anyone else I'm forgetting) - portray their characters extremely well. That's the thing with the Avengers; they all have different and dark backstories, and issues with one another, but in the end of the day they will always put aside their problems to fight for a common goal. Another thing about the Marvel movies is that they always manage to combine insane action and laugh-out-loud comedy into one star-studded movie. One of the best and funniest scenes in this movie is when all the Avengers are trying to pick up Thor's hammer (It is in one of the videos above). Age of Ultron was little different because you got to know the more low-key Avengers. Everyone knows Thor and Iron Man and Captain America's back stories due to their previous solo movies, but in Age of Ultron they elaborated on Hawkeye's personal life and briefly visited the Black Widow's dark past. If there I had to say one thing they could have improved on in this movie, I think I would have to say that they focused on the romance between Black Widow and the Hulk a little too much, when there could have been more fighting and action. OTHERWISE, it's probably one of the best movies I've seen all year and I look forward to the next one!
