When I first saw this book, the first thing I thought was "Wreck-It-Ralph", one of my all-time favorite movies. This was as good, except completely different. It is different than other books, because it is not sci-fi and is like a video game. Also, the tone of voice the author makes it fun to read. There is mystery and humor and lots of action. Basically, Pete Watson is a normal 12 year old boy. He LOVES video games and is very good at them. His love of video games causes him to hold a garage sale in order to buy the video game he has been waiting for. When he sells something he thinks is trash, it turns out that could mean destroying the whole world. His dad is actually an undercover agent and is mysteriously kidnapped right after the sale. Now the race is on to find his dad, get his dream girl, and save the world from mass destruction all in 1:00 hour! The book has a little bit of romance and lot of adventure. I would recommend it to kids of all ages!

This book was pretty good. I liked it, but it was a little confusing. The author, James Dashner, is one of my favorites but this wasn't his best work. I felt like he skimmed through the technical details, which didn't make it that good. I still liked the overall idea, and the end COMPLETELY surprised me. I think lots of people would enjoy this book if you are looking for a fun book to read.

This book looks really cool! I love these type of puzzles in the National Geographic Kids magazines, and this is like a whole book of them!!! Is there a way to win this?
