While daredevils like Nik Wallenda make it look easy, tightrope walking is not for the faint of heart under any circumstances. Now imagine trying the feat thousands of feet above the ground, on a three-inch-wide rope tied to two floating hot air balloons! That is exactly the stunt two French men tried to pull off on February 6th, 2013, in South of France.

Tancrede Melet and Julien Milliot, members of a group of extreme athletes called Skyliners, began by making their way up about 10,000-feet aboard some hot air balloons. They then roped together two of the balloons and bravely climbed out to try perform the heart-stopping walk. The whole event was recorded by filmmaker Sebastian Montaz-Rosset, who has created a documentary about the group's previous equally daring slacklining stunts.

As to what happens next? You will have to see that for yourself. The only thing we can tell you is that the Skyliners did have parachutes and are not only safe, but also, planning to perform the stunt one more time, in the very near future. And in case you are wondering, nobody knows why one of the group members decided to dress up as a clown!
